Ash Koosha - I AKA I Ash Koosha is an Iranian composer, producer and graduate of the Tehran Conservatory of Music. He is also a software designer for whom visuals and sound often overlap. He released his debut album, GUUD, in 2015 to critical acclaim. He has followed that up in short order with I AKA I, another collection of intricately-constructed tracks. Bleached - Welcome the Worms Welcome the Worms is the second album from this three-piece punk outfit out of California. Since the release of their 2013 debut album, Ride Your Heart, they've experienced the less-pleasant side of life with loss of homes and relationships; experiences which influenced the writing of this album. Bombino - Azel Omara Moctar is a Nigerian Tuareg guitarist whose music often addresses issues impacting his people. He risked his life in pursuit of art. The Nigerian government banned guitars for the Tuareg following the Tuareg Rebellion in 2007, and he saw fellow musicians executed. During a three-year exile, he met filmmaker Ron Wyman, who urged him to formally record his music. He released Agadez in 2011 and the Dan Auerbach-produced Nomad in 2013. Charles Bradley - Changes Charles Bradley became a new recording artist around the same age that other musicians are thinking retirement. Though he had performed for over 40 years, he released his first album, No Time for Dreaming, in 2011 at the age of 62. Positive response to the record kicked off a wave of success for Bradley, who followed it up with 2013's Victim of Love and this latest record, which (of all things) includes a Black Sabbath cover! Frankie Cosmos - Next Thing Frankie Cosmos is the stage name of Greta Kline, daughter of actors Phoebe Cates and Kevin Kline. Despite famous parents, she has been making a name for herself since 2011. She has performed with the band Porches and released her debut album, Zentropy, in 2014. New Full-Length Releases

Common - Nobody's Smiling Common took a bit of a break after 2011's The Dreamer/The Believer, Common is back with an amazing follow-up. For this release, he was influenced by the well-reported crime and gun violence issues in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Despite being a well-established artist (this is his 10th album), he worked with a number of newer performers on this release, including Big Sean, Jhené Aiko, and Vince Staples. The Raveonettes - Pe'ahi Well, this one was a surprise. Pulling off indie music's version of a Beyoncé, The Raveonettes dropped this album with no promotion and released videos for each of the album's tracks (though, they're all simple lyric videos, nothing fancy like Bey). The album, named for a Hawai'ian surfing spot, came about following the death of Sune Rose Wagner's father; though the band also drew inspiration from other experiences over the past few years. Bleached - For the Feel EP The band Bleached released their debut album, Ride Your Heart, last year. The title track to this new EP was recorded during the same sessions, but didn't quite work on that release. They're releasing it this year, with a couple of other new tracks, including a cover of the iconic "Poison Ivy," original performed by The Coasters. Watch: "Poison Ivy" Listen: "For the Feel"

Cut Copy - Free Your Mind Deluxe Edition Cut Copy released their fourth album in November of last year. Eight months later, it's getting the reissue treatment, with the inclusion of five additional tracks. Watch: "Meet Me in the House of Love" Watch: "We Are Explorers"

DJ Kitty Cash - Love the Free II Love the Free is a burgeoning series of mix tapes curated by Brooklyn's DJ Kitty Cash. Her second foray includes tracks from SZA, Willow Smith, and Dev Hynes. Listen: SZA - "Moodring" Listen: Wet - "Move Me"

Jamie T - "Don't You Find" Finally! After a five-year hiatus, British rock-rapper Jamie T will be back with a new album at the end of September. Before that, though, he has released the first track and accompanying video for the album; the song is the wistful "Don't You Find." Watch: "Don't You Find"
