Florence Welch makes jewelry!

Though she's a great musician with two albums under her (fabulous) belt, Florence Welch, of Florence + The Machine, has become known as quite the fashionista. She's been seen in outfits designed by the likes of Yves St. Laurent, Givenchy and Alexander McQueen, so it only makes sense that she should get into the design game herself.

Florence is starting with jewelry and, of course the result is as fabulous as she is! By the way, if anyone's wondering what to get me for my birthday, the Ceremonials 'O' Necklace (pictured above) would be a great choice!

Kurt Vile has a cute kid

I don't know if I've ever seen anything so adorable! To promote his latest album, Wakin' on a Pretty Daze, Kurt Vile previewed the first single on his home record player. The video was promptly crashed by his little girl. She wears masks, dances around to the song and succeeds at being the cutest little thing in the indie world.

Vile's wife gave birth to a second daughter back in December, so maybe we'll have a video with two adorable little girls for his next release!

Wakin' on a Pretty Daze will be released on April 9.

Marina & The Diamonds - "How to Be a Heartbreaker"

Here's a little bit of eye candy for you ladies out there (and some men). Marina's video for the Electra Heart US-edition album cut "How to Be a Heartbreaker" features scores of men in various states of undress. I'm feeling major jealously towards her for that shower scene!

Marina released her most recent album back in April of this year.

Congratulations Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford!

Last Saturday, actress Carey Mulligan married musician Marcus Mumford in England. The two had been engaged for nine months and dating five months before that.

Carey has become one of the few truly bright points among young actresses, gaining attention for movies like An Education and Shame, getting a Best Actress nomination for her role in the former. Mumford is the frontman for folk-inspired band Mumford & Sons (I guess that makes Mulligan a step mom!).

Congratulations to the happy couple!

tUnE-yArDs - "My Country"

New video from probably one of the most unique and creative artist out right now. The video co-stars a bunch of really awesome kids, who were culled from Brightworks, a school in San Francisco, and the San Francisco Rock Project. So, there's a really good chance that these kids are this awesome in real life and not just for the sake of this music video!

Digital "Paper" Dolls Are the Thing

I don't know where my recent obsession with paper dolls came from exactly, but ever since I saw the paper doll version of one of my personal style icons, Debbie Harry of Blondie, I can't get enough of the digital version. There are two "paper" doll sources that have especially stood out recently.

Hipster Girl Dress Up, too cool for paper, let me unleash my full hipster. The game lets you dress up your girls in the latest duds that look like they could come straight from Urban Outfitters or Modcloth and comes complete with sleeve and chest tattoos, Ray-Ban-esque glasses and Chucks, of course. My girl is below.

Hipster Paper Doll
Yeah, I could totally rock this.

The other, called Stardoll, seems to be a Polish site, that offers up just about every female indie, pop and rock singer, as well as qute a few men, for dress-up. Just a quick once over shows as varied artists as Kurt Cobain, Bjork, Leona Lewis and Rihanna, among so many more.

Marilyn Manson
I know you were wondering, so, yes, they even have this guy.

Now go knock yourselves out dressing up goth rock stars!

Kitty album covers

Get ready for cute overload. I found a new blog yesterday named The Kitten Covers. The blog takes iconic album covers and replaces the subjects with kitties! The results are pretty amazing, and all cute. Some of my favorites follow.

Pop art kitty!

Velvet Underground and Nico

Kitty Stardust!

Kitty Bjork (looks freakishly like the original cover).

Homogenic

Kitty Nirvana (this might be my favorite)!
